Dryden's WoodOil has been specified on two of our recent projects – The Verandah Café and Function Centre at Hamilton Lake and the Don Rowlands Centre at Lake Karapiro.

Key criteria for these projects were:
Preserved and enhanced the natural qualities of the timber – both visually and to the touch. The Don Rowlands Centre is located in the very visually sensitive environs of the Karapiro Domain, and the timber columns at The Verandah are continually being touched and leaned against.

Ease of application. This was particularly important at Karapiro where the staggered depth and width cedar weatherboard profiles used necessitated a product that could be liberally applied and could perform on both dressed and band sawn surfaces penetrating into all of the varying surfaces whilst accentuating the natural grain structure or the Western Red Cedar cladding.

The range of tints available was important as it allowed us to select the oil that would give a close match in colour/tone to the natural rusty (Corten) steel cladding used on nearby buildings.

The ease of re-coating and any future maintenance.
